Top 10 2014 Releases We're Dying to Read

Hosted by: The Broke and the Bookish
There are lots and lots of great books coming out next year. So, without further ado...

Lindsay's Selections:
There is no possible way I'm going to be able to keep this to 10. Not going to happen.  So here goes, my Top 10, errrrr 16, books I'm dying to read in 2014 (in no particular order, because how is a person to decide between all these amazing books).

1. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi (Shatter Me #3). Released February 4th.

WARNER FTW!

2. Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi (Under the Never Sky #3). Released January 28th.

3. Cress by Marissa Meyer (Lunar Chronicles #3). Released February 4th.

Rapunzel. Cyborgs. Winning.

4. Throne of Glass #3 by Sarah J. Maas (Title not released yet). No release date yet.

CHAOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 98% sure my reaction will be similar to Schmidt's
5. Defiance #3 by CJ Redwine (Title not released yet). No release date yet.

Can't wait to see what happens to Rachel!

And Outcast: A Defiance Novella. Released July 1st

6. Ruin & Rising by Leigh Bardugo (Grisha Trilogy #3). Released June 6th.

Mal. Darkling. STURMHOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is not the real cover. I WANT THE REAL COVER.

(Do you sense a theme here? I love series. A lot. Obviously.)

7. Let the Storm Break by Shannon Messenger (Sky Fall #2). Released March 4th.

8. Mortal Heart by RL LaFevers (His Fair Assassin #3). No release date yet.
My excitement when book covers are released

  9. The One by Kiera Cass (The Selection #3). Released May 6th.

Will America win?!

10. Written in My Own Heart's Blood by Diana Gabaldon (Outlander #8). Released June 10th.

Because JAMIE FRASER!

11. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins (Anna & the French Kiss #3). Released May 13th.

Cute on top of cute on top of cute. I hope Etienne and Anna make an appearance.

12. Lady Thief by AC Gaughen (Scarlet #2). Released February 11th.

And look below! Books that aren't series. At lease not yet...

13. Landline by Rainbow Rowell. Released July 8th.

I will read anything this woman writes. For real.

14. Defy by Sara B. Larson. Released January 7th.

This sounds totally fascinating. Plus pretty cover!

15. Salvage by Alexandra Duncan. Released April 1st.

Very interesting....

16. The first book in the Goldscryer Saga by Rae Carson. No release date yet.

I heart Rae Carson. Her previous series was amazing and this one takes place during the gold rush. Sounds good to me!
Me to Rae Carson upon completion of this book, I'm sure.

ETA 17. : #2 in the Elemental Trilogy by Sherry Thomas. No release date yet. Iolanthe and Titus! Yay!

Sarah's Selections:

Typicall Lindsay and I split our picks 50/50. I had a difficult time with my usual 5 and as you can see, Lindsay is an overachiever. (I'm totally jealous that she out reads me!) Here are my top five books that I'm dying to read in 2014!

1. Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray (The Diviner's #2). Released August 5th

2. Written in My Own Hearts Blood by Diana Gabaldon (Outlander #8). Released June 10th

3. Hollow City by Ransom Riggs (Miss Peregrine's Children #2). Released January 14th

Fun Fact: Ransom Riggs is married to the lovely Tahereh Mafi who wrote "Ignite Me", the first book Lindsay's list. Follow both of these wonderful authors on Instagram to get a glimpse inside their life. (And on twitter! They're hilarious. ~Lindsay)

4. The Iron Trial by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black (Magisterium #1). Sometime in September

5. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. Released May 13th

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love how you couldn't keep it to ten. I couldn't either! There are just too many good books coming out. Cress, Landline, Salvage! How can anyone just pick ten?

  2. Ah! So many awesome books. I managed to keep to 10, but I could have easily added more.
